  2. Everyone is a little different, and it’s helpful to have resources like this to better understand your child. This book can help parents develop greater empathy and understanding for what their children experience. As a mom, I definitely see a lot of truth in these principles! 3. This book was such a Godsend! I’ve read a lot of books on raising children – a ton of them. You should see my closet, I have a half dozen of them lying on the floor ear marked to hell and back. But none of them, and I’m not just saying this, but none of them came close to this book and the impact it had on my kids. Ton of great advice in it, well written and to the point. If you have a sensitive child or a kid who drives up and down the walls, check this book out because the advice is practical and useful. I highly recommend it.

  4. A gem. Katherine Guzman’s book provides parents/carers with insights to help them raise children in the middle ground between being overly sensitive or too apathetic. Recommended.

  5. So, I probably could have benefited from this book about fifteen years ago. It was very difficult trying to figure out how to deal with our first child’s meltdowns, especially in public situations. We would often just not go out in public for fear of having to deal with one of his episodes. It became better over time but the ideas in this book might have helped us live a better life through those difficult years. Parents with small children should give this book a try.
