The tools that Dr. Wolf introduced me to have allowed me to walk forward both literally & figuratively. The way that she explains the methodology behind the resources makes it so easy to grasp. The wisdom and practices in this book have really shifted my 14 year struggle with chronic pain. Along with the audio version and following Dr Wolf’s work online I can honestly say that I do feel a change physically, an improvement, and even more importantly emotionally. Before this part of my chronic journey, the only emotions I had around my pain were anger and grief. That only made it worse and harder to let go of, harder to see there are times of joy and an ease to the pain as well, I can’t recommend this book enough.
I have been wakening up and listening to the meditation titled “Kindness Body Scan” daily for over a year-it is a great way to start my morning rituals. The audio book is now part of my life!-I have the Audible app on my phone so it is accessible anytime! Christiane Wolf MD PhD is a true blessing. The book covers all scopes on how to deal with chronic pain, from your feet to your head, our care takers, how to remember and bring joy into our life as well as other areas of dealing with pain. She has a calming voice and makes it seem like she is in the room with you. I highly recommend it for those of us in pain and the therapist who are helping us! Thank you Dr. Wolf 🙂
Dr. Wolf’s book is very helpful in managing pain and changing your relationship to it. I recommend the hardback and the audible version so you can practice the meditations with her guidance. Her voice is kind and compassionate and a balm for the pain-soaked and weary. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this author, her book, the meditations, and the deep wisdom she shares so beautifully!
