   A great deal of work went into writing this book, but I am still on the fence about it. It seems to be a very formulaic approach to one of the most transitional periods in life, but for those requiring a detailed roadmap, this is it, activities and all. I would prefer that people discover much of what is written on their own since the practical knowledge offered throughout doesn't always connect with the individual's circumstances and ability to integrate the information being put forth as it is happening. That being said, kudos to the author for trying to apply reason, logic, and much more to an otherwise bewildering period in life's journey.

   The book covers a wide array of topics, which I couldn’t even begin to cover here, but I did feel that the book was well researched and well written; it flowed naturally from one important and relevant topic to another and I believe it is age appropriate. As an educator, I do feel that many of these topics are not necessarily being covered in the home, which may be due to the very busy lifestyles, that so many people live, so this book could help to fill that vital gap in knowledge and skills acquisition. I liked the addition of exercises and worksheets and the book was very “real” or concrete in what it presented; overall, an engaging book, that should appeal to this age group.
