An evidence-based status section in each Theory chapter focusing on what we know from the scientific research, with the goal of developing critical thinking skills
A new section on Outcome Measures that provides ideas on how client outcomes can be tracked using practice-based evidence
Showcasing the latest research, theory, and evidence-based practice in an engaging and relatable style, Counseling and Psychotherapy Theories in Context and Practice is an illuminating text with outstanding practical value.
Had this text during schooling and missed it during my practice. Bought it again. Love the down-to-earth writing style and applicable, actionable suggestions. I often reference it in case notes.
This book was incredibly helpful to me as a counseling student. This is my first semester in the counseling program and this book was full of useful information, very easy to read and understand, and provided a vast overview of the different theories. I will definitely be keeping this book to use as a resource on future papers.
If you need to find your home base for a therapy to focus on or align with, then this is the book! Absolutely looked each of the theories and how they were presented in class. Also I love the vignettes of how he worked with each of the clients!
OMG!! This book is practically new!! I am very impressed. There isn’t a mark or a fold on any of the pages. There is a school stamp inside the front cover and a used book sticker on the binder (which isn’t a bother to the book and I don’t mind) but otherwise, it is in immaculate condition. I am very pleased with this book.
I love the way this book is organized! This has made the different types of psychotherapy easier to understand. I highly recommend this book.
