This approx 175 page book is divided into three parts. 1) The science behind the vagus nerve 2) What could go wrong in Vagus and 3) Activating your vagus . For me the most interesting part of the book is part three where some great methods of activating one’s vagus nerve such as Humming , Chanting , Laughter Yoga , Breathing , Sunlight , Acupuncture and lots more are discussed. Good book but would have liked to have seen some case studies discussed.
This book not only provides a very detailed, somewhat scientific explanation of the VN’s function in the body along with specific tests that can help diagnose dysfunction, but more importantly it provides lists/detailed explanations of different therapies and how/why they work to improve VN function! I look forward to incorporating a few of his recommendations into my life.
